3am batim thoughts

The studio cast is all freed from Joey’s curse but they suffer the repercussions of the event.

-susie has gone mute after feeling so guilty over hurting people because of her singing and voice acting career.

-wally can’t look at a chicken bone the same way ever again and swears that his ears are pointed like a dogs.

-Norman is afraid of bright lights and stays away from the basement since it brings back memories.

-Bertrum is paranoid about his arms and legs to the point where he’s afraid he’ll wake up without them. He also gets very uncomfortable around the ride he had been stuck in and is requesting to have it taken apart.

-thomas still has pains in his arm from where Joey had cut it off and he has to take pain killers to sleep through the night.

-at the same time Alison has pains in her stomach and her head from where her horns had been and getting stabbed in the stomach one too many times by ink monsters.

-grant swears that his teeth are still sharp and the sound of a toy squeaking causes him to start crying.

-shawn has pain in his jaw still from how it had been deformed and it hurts him to talk for a long time.

-jacks hat is his safety item and he never goes anywhere without it on his head.

-henry has trust issues and can’t sleep at night if there is the sound of water dripping nearby.

-lacie has a sore throat often and sometimes she still holds onto the sides of her head with her hands to make sure her head won’t fall off.

Character info from the Employee Handbook

adobe-outdesign:

Finally got my copy of the handbook! These are little canon character tidbits that I thought were interesting. Let me know if I’ve missed anything.

Henry:

  • California is listed as his top place he’d like to visit after leaving the studio
  • His list of things to do when leaving has “take a hot bath” as the last thing

Joey:

  • Thinks foie gras is disgusting and prefers mac and cheese
  • Knows Bertrum’s full name and just calls him Bertie as a preference
  • Has the record for highest bacon soup tower
  • Elects himself employee of the month every month
  • Got an invitation to attend Tom and Allison’s wedding, but declined
  • Likes employees sharing their ideas and dreams with him
  • His birthday is considered a holiday in the studio and everyone has to stay overtime to wish him happy birthday
  • Fell asleep during a physics lesson during the math section in 12th grade

Sammy:

  • Doesn’t see a problem with the way Joey is running things, and figures those who can’t handle it just aren’t cut out for the job
  • Sent out a reminder for people to be quiet while in the music department

Susie:

  • Was present at the meeting where Alice was introduced
  • In her Angel Path tape, she notes that she “didn’t get the memo” about Allison. That’s because the memo was specifically directed to be given to all employees except her
  • At her lunch with Joey, they both had bacon soup, someone had filet mignon while someone had linguini alfredo, someone had iced tea and someone had lemonade, and someone had strawberry cheesecake. The receipt doesn’t specify who ordered what
    • (I’m assuming Joey had the linguini alfredo as it’s pretty similar to mac and cheese)

Allison:

  • Likes to cook and try out recipes (implied by her letter at the end, but outright confirmed here)
  • Parent’s names were Fredrick
  • Presbyterian
  • Her and Thomas were married on February 23rd, 1952

Wally:

  • Ate something that he thought was a churro but apparently wasn’t (we never find out what it is)
    • Later on it mentions “churros that aren’t being used as food but rather being used as-” which really only raises more questions

Norman:

  • Confirmed cryptid (it’s mentioned that he’s a recluse and that tracking him down is difficult at times)

Thomas:

  • Has a note telling people to stay out of the utility shafts for safety’s sake, and that some of them are being boarded off for this reason
    • (interesting because this might have been where Joey and him were meeting when Jack saw them in his BATDR teaser tape, as the note’s in the section about the sewers and there’s a boarded-off area where Jack spawns)
  • He’s at the studio because Gent offers a 10-year warranty and will send out a repairman if any of their products aren’t working the way they’re supposed to
  • Not hired by JDS, but has a temporary office
  • Middle initial is J
  • Allison and him got married in a presbyterian church, so he either is presbyterian or he converted

Grant:

  • Warned Joey not to overspend on personal projects
  • Tried multiple times to warn Joey about the debt and was completely ignored, to the point where he was fielding calls from the IRS
    • (This also fits well with him being a Striker, seeing as not only does he talk about things he shouldn’t but Joey also ignores everything he says, fitting with the stitched-up mouth)
  • Has an entire department under him, including his own secretary
  • It’s stated that he isn’t a “creative dreamer”, but he “dreams in numbers”, my headcanon about him having the creativity of a rock is canon
  • Reports directly to Joey
  • Also had to send out a lot of late payment notices to employees

Lacie:

  • Confirmed to use female pronouns (this is pretty widely accepted now, but people weren’t sure of her gender when she first appeared and we never got canon confirmation)

The Ink Demonth – Day 1 – Music

One, two,
three. One, two, three. His paws moved in a rhythm. The melody was rather
quiet, after all he didn’t want to alarm the subject of his ambush.

Finally,
he stopped, his body low, hidden behind some bushes. Little did he know that
the two black ears sticking out of the leaves were giving out his localization
right away. Nonetheless, the one that should have been concerned didn’t seem
bothered.

Two pie
cut eyes glanced through the branches. And not that far away, they saw a small
figure on a blanket. And a basket next to them.

Everything
he could have dreamed of.

Just down
the hill.

Boris had
a plan.

The wolf
took out his clarinet and… started playing. This disturbance of silence wasn’t
like the sound of leaves crumbling under his feet. It was peaceful. It was mesmerizing.

It was
putting the little devil to sleep.

He could
see Bendy’s back bending to the right more and more. Then the other toon fully
collapsed onto the blanket, little „Zzz”s flying off of his head and taking to
the sky like some weird bird.

The
ever-hungry animal put down the instrument and went for his well-deserved
prize.

Was he
considering his action as something wrong? Was he even considering anything at
that moment? Ever? What kind of perception can a cartoon have?

In a cartoon
world? Sing a song and go with the flow.

So he
went. And sang in his head.

The
audience he wasn’t aware of, heard it loud and clear through the speakers,
while watching today’s episode.

„Sheep,
sheep, sheep. It’s time for sleep…”
